I started a book yesterday I've putting off reading. I thought it would be more of a dark thriller and wanted to read it where there were people around in a sunny, happy environment. I got about 100 pages into it and so far it hasn't turned out to be what I thought. I suppose now that I'm home and will read it in the evenings it will change into the dark thriller I've been anticipating. Oh well. I'll read it outside on my sunny back porch. Maybe I'll make my husband sit out there with me. I'll make sure to get through it before dark descends on our world again.
My husband just called me and told me he's taking tomorrow off so we can finish the last leg of the bathroom remodel. It's so exciting. I've been itching to get in there and paint, but the walls still needed more mud and now they need texturing. It's been driving me nuts because it's something I can't do (at least not without a lot of mess and frustration; sitcom-type debacles come to mind). So he's committed to staying home Friday and even skipping overtime on Saturday if need be to get it done.
The shower door will be in on Tuesday, so I feel confident we can have a functioning shower by the time school starts on the 1st.
Looks like things are wrapping up for school. I've got a list of things to get done before school starts. I just got word that a new writing critique group is starting up on the 12th and I've got a children's book out to an editor right now for consideration. I've also seen my women's doctor who tells me a new me is on the way once we get my hormones back in balance.
Life couldn't get better right now. Well, maybe when the kids are back in school. Some chocolate would help too.
