I knew school would be at least delayed today, so I stayed up for the 11:00pm news hoping they'd call it then. Of course they didn't, so I had to wake up at 5:30am to find out it was indeed delayed. I went in and told my kids to turn off their alarms, then I tried to fall back to sleep. I kinda of slept, I think; that tells you how great the sleep was.
Then my alarm went off at 7:30am and I checked to make sure they were still on late start, only to find out school was cancelled. I should've just gotten up, but I was tired from staying up too late and getting up too early.
I really didn't fall asleep again, at least not well. Around 8:45, I started to fall into that deep sleep you know will hurt if you actually let yourself fall asleep, so I got up. The kids were home, it was later in the morning, the kids had been home yesterday for the MLK holiday, my husband went to work both days.
I'm really having a hard time registering what day and time it is today. I sat down at my computer to look at my email and someone sent me their article for the church newsletter I have to start putting together this week. Oh yeah! Forgot about that because I have no idea what day it is. Then I realized I have two articles to write for the newsletter and I started working on that.
Of all the days this week the kids should have gone to school, today probably would have been the best day; nothing is actually frozen so the roads are manageable. I hear we'll be getting 6-10 inches of snow tomorrow sometime.
Probably the kids won't be going to school tomorrow or Thursday, either. I just hope it's enough snow tonight to call it tonight. Or maybe they'll go tomorrow, only to be sent home early? So that should add to my confusion. To top it off, my husband is working overtime this weekend.
When I went to switch the laundry I realized I hadn't blogged yesterday or today. So here I am, it's almost noon; I still don't know which way is up.
