I don't know what it is about this time of year, but if they are going to get something really bad, it's going to happen this week. My oldest has a rash on her face she hasn't had in a year. My youngest seems to be getting strep again. At least they got it on Sunday so I can get them in today and they should be well on their way to recovering before Saturday.
Why does it happen this week? Probably because their immune systems get run down trying to finish up school, participate in school events, participate in Christmas traditions, anticipation, less sleep. Even so, they are pretty healthy kids, you'd think they could hold off until after Christmas when we don't have any plans; it's not like they have to buy and wrap all the presents.
Oh well, it's part of being a kid. I remember a time when I had time to get sick. Now I'm the mom and I haven't the time. I've got a holiday to plan
