I usually can't garden in August, but the window for that is still open. I usually can't go for a walk in August because it's too hot and then I get too hot. So I'm really loving the weather.
It does put a crimp in my laundry day. I have to plan a little differently, because if it's not over 70 degrees, it takes a couple days for the laundry to dry on the line. But I've worked it out, because it does dry eventually. It's not raining. I've even put the laundry out on the days it's raining because again, it will dry eventually and my clothes line is under cover, so it's not like the laundry is getting re-wet.
It doesn't really help to hang it in the house because there is no heat on in the house and it's actually slower drying than outside on a rainy day.
The gravity of summer's end is looming over me. The kids getting their summer homework wrapped up, going to orientations for school, getting their class schedules, getting up early and not being able to hang the clothes outside to dry is closing in on me.
Sigh. I hate the end of the summer as much as I love the end of summer. So I'm going back out to my patio and enjoying the rest of this overcast, not-too-warm, not-too-cool morning.
