Now we have June and everything is happening at once. The school year is about to end and everything starts happening all at once. There are school-end parties to attend, food for parties to provide, finals for the kids, summer clothes to go through, the RV to start prepping for camping, poker runs to plan for upcoming car shows, awards ceremonies, concerts, family reunions, papers to sign for the following school year, and just a complete wrap up on everything.
On top of all that I still have to do laundry, make dinners, go grocery shopping, pay bills, take a shower, and try to fit my writing in. Which I realized I forgot to write a column for the paper this week and I've only worked on my book one day in the last two weeks, so I'm a bit behind.
It's hard to believe in just a couple short months I'll be glad to see my kids going back to school so life can slow down a bit and we can get back into a routine. My brain is rather addled with the June bug.
So in that light, Happy New Year!
