This is only the third day I've done this and already my knee is feeling better. I haven't talked about my knee, but apparently my knee cap is crooked because the inner muscle of my thigh is weak.
How does that happen anyway? I'm doing all the same things I normally do or rather don't do and suddenly my inner muscle becomes weak. I went through five weeks of physical therapy and it was pretty much better so I went back to my normally sedentary life and it happened again.
Okay, so I get the picture, I must change my sedentary lifestyle. So I bought this recumbent exercise bike so I could bike while I was writing or write while I was biking. I was also hoping it would help me when I got writer's block.
I read in a children's book author and illustrator magazine about a writer who walks on a treadmill. Apparently, because you are walking (or biking) if you get writers block, you're stuck on the treadmill or bike and it helps your brain keep working instead of wandering off (physically and mentally). But as you probably gathered from above, I'm not in the greatest shape, so I'm not really sure I could actually coordinate a treadmill while writing (writhing?).... Plus, the recumbent bike is kinda like lounging and lounging sounds better to me than walking.
We do what we have to do to convince our brains otherwise. I should totally bike to Florida, but in the comfort of my home office.
