I don't know what's up with my animals lately. They are just doing all they can to chap my hide and it's making me mad. It's worse than fighting with your children all summer over limiting electronics.
Maybe they are getting fall fever, but whatever it is I am clearly out of control. So now I am on a mission to regain control of my animals. The cats are NOT allowed in the kitchen/sleeping end of the house AT ALL; the little dog CANNOT sleep in my room for a while until she pulls herself together, she has gotten one of us up three nights in a row; the cats WILL come into the house and LIKE IT at night; I will NOT allow the bird to bully guests; and our lab WILL go into her kennel at night if she keeps insisting on bouncing off the walls.
Apparently, in my quest to limit my children's electronics this summer I have been ignoring my animals. I have let them run free like, well, wild animals.
Maybe the animals haven't changed at all and my irritation is really because my kids haven't changed at all either. All my harping about gaining balance by limiting electronics has gone out the window. Although I have been limiting their electronics it is rather like pulling on a dog straining on the leash. But not to worry, school is starting soon, then they will have no choice.
