We should drink green tea he says, not black or oolong because they are fermented. I wonder what my tea lady at the tea house in Kent would say about that? She taught my sister and I that all teas were green, it was their age that categorized them into white, oolong and black. But I drink tea on occasion, green tea even, so I can have a couple cups a day around lunch time.
Then he says we should drink coffee to prevent some cancers. I drink coffee too, in fact, I'm mostly a coffee drinker. I start my day with coffee and try not to drink more than two or three cups or rather about 4 to 6 shots. It's straight espresso out of my espresso machine with a little fat free half and half; I think it's more watered down than if I were to go to a coffee shop with a professional machine.
Here's where I'm confused: after I have a couple cups of coffee in the morning, followed by a couple cups of green tea, I'm pretty cranked up. After being cranked up on caffeine, I inevitably crash and just need a nap.
It just doesn't seem like a way to be a better me. Maybe I need to read the article again. But I'll need more coffee before I start reading or maybe I'll just start with the nap.
