One of the kids likes all fantasy movies, the other kid likes what she refers to as "big boom" movies, which I'm learning are really "epic" fantasy movies.
Dad really likes action packed movies and I like "chick flicks" which he claims to like because those are the only types I'll go to. On occasion we'll go to fantasy movies because we'll get curious, but more often than not, now that the kids are teens, we'll send them into one movie while we go into a different one. Not exactly family bonding, but at least it's a moment when everyone is happy.
We all like Pixar movies and cartoons, so we go to those together. But many a time no one can agree on a movie or we can't agree on two movies where the show times match up and the whole thing is canceled. I'm ashamed to report those are the days I go to my room and pout about what a lame family I have who can't just do what I want them to do.
