It's a rather overwhelming experience and a person must sort through what she needs and what she can save for later. At the 1:30 session I was wondering why I was planning on sitting through a 3 1/2 hour seminar about novel writing when I don't even have a novel in my head. Non-fiction books, yes; memoirs, yes; children's picture books, yes. Novel, no.
So since it was the only offering today, I decided I needed a little rest and relaxation. After having a cappuccino and pastry I still had 2 1/2 hours to kill, so I went on the hunt for a pedicure.
After the pedicure I still had about 45 minutes to kill. I figured I'd just sit and hang around. As I was walking over the sky bridge I happened to look down. And there it was.... Alleluia, Glory BE! The Container Store! I'd always wanted to go into one of those.
So in I went. I found lap desks for my kids. They are flat, smooth, lap top tables with storage and they even fold out like a bed tray. Very cool.
Then as I searched up magnetic spice jars for myself thinking how very awesome I was to find three for $5.99 instead of paying $1.99 each at Fred Meyer my senses came back and I did the math. Okay, actually 2 cents cheaper the Fred Meyer way. So I put them back.
Still, it was fun and my kids love the desks. Plus, the lady who did my pedicure suggested sparkles on top. So now my toes are sparkly.
