So as I'm looking outside, I'm contemplating all the things I should have done on the two sunny days we had last week with no hope of ever seeing those days in the near future.
I actually like the rain, but sometimes, like now, it's just gross and messy and makes me weary. As my oldest daughter said when she got out of the car this morning, "It's icky." I'm ready for spring and trying to remember the saying about March... "In like a lion out like a lamb or in like a lamb out like a lion." I'm hoping it's the latter because then there may still be hope.
Last year it rained through June and didn't ever get very nice all summer. In fact we really didn't even swim much when we were camping last summer because it was kind of cold for summer and Northwest lakes are frigid in any weather.
It's spring break next week and I haven't made any plans for us to go anywhere because of the weather. I am looking forward to sleeping in for a week and I've got big plans for my kids to clean out their clothes drawers. Woo hoo!
Sigh. It's still raining and I'm no closer to the cherry tree.
