Ah well, it's not like I live in the Alaskan Frontier or anything. My groceries are just a couple miles from home. However, when I think of shopping, I think of diving into a sea of people and swimming upstream.
It must be done, we're out of milk and someone broke into my half and half to have their morning cereal today.
I'll add other errands since I'll be out and have it all done in one day. Looking at the weather report I have until 1:00pm before the real rain hits.
It's a shame it's supposed to be a rainy Halloween because I have a newly built firepit that's just waiting to be tried out; maybe between rain squalls. My youngest and her posse aren't trick or treating this year, they've decided seniors in high school are probably too old and they've pushed the whole trick or treating for charity thing too far. I think it was gauged on the past year's comments from the adults who opened their doors to adult "children".
I figured they could be doing worse things on a Halloween night and they'd come to it on their own. We are having a Halloween party here, though. I bought lots of candy so they wouldn't feel like they are missing out.
They're starting the party at my Cooking Buddy's house for dinner, as per tradition. Her husband continues with Halloween hospitality. Then it will be home for whatever the weather has in mind whether it's a campfire between rain squalls or scary movies on Netflix.
It should be fun; it will be their last one as next year they'll be as hither and yon as their chosen colleges. An end to another era.
